About The Position
The Westerner Dance Hall Bar and Grill is looking for bartenders and barbacks. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy live music and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Westerner offers a competitive wage of $2.50 per hour plus tips, which is higher than the typical Utah minimum wage for tipped employees. The venue, established in 1962 and located in West Valley City, features live country music every weekend with local bands and a DJ, along with mechanical bull rides, a karaoke room, poker nights, paint nights, a full bar and grill, a large patio, free pool tables, and dance lessons. The company values and respects its employees, encouraging their ideas and involvement in all aspects of the business. The team works collaboratively in a fun and supportive environment, making the shifts enjoyable. Responsibilities include preparing drinks, supporting bartenders (for barbacks), and engaging with customers to ensure they have a great experience. All necessary recipes and beverage information will be provided.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays typically 8pm to 2:30am (start and end time may vary)
- Utah Alcohol Server Permit (within 14 days of hire)
- Utah Food Handlers Permit (within 14 days of hire)
