About The Position

The Bartender follows alcohol-serving laws and prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while interacting with customers. The role includes taking and serving food as needed and maintaining a clean, sanitized environment. The Bartender serves members and customers, keeps bar supplies stocked, and reconciles the cash register at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience.
• Certification to serve alcohol.
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods.

• Experience with inventory and ordering.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnishes.
• Serve members and customers promptly, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering questions.
• Clean and sanitize the bar surface, furniture, and equipment; return used dishware to the bar or kitchen.
• Restock liquor, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients, and replace beer barrels.
• Reconcile the bar's cash register at the end of the shift.
