About The Position

Bartenders in the 395 Bar & Grill are responsible for providing prompt, professional, friendly, polite, personalized, and passionate guest service. Responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverages according to recipes as well as processing all sales transactions accurately. Applicants must also adhere to all Wanaaha Casino policies and procedures and work variable shifts as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Six (6) months’ work-related experience or training.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Positive and respectful attitude.
  • Basic math skills to ensure accurate money-handling.
  • ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Training is mandatory within first 30 days of employment.
  • Food Handler’s Card is mandatory within first 30 days of employment.
  • Must pass Title 31 within first 30 days of employment.
  • Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow employees, demonstrating respect, and tact, courtesy.
  • An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper uniform and always be friendly and courteous.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment.
  • Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License.
  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of bartending experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to all guests.
  • Ensure all customers receive the correct drink as requested. Serving guests with proper identification. You must check the ID of patrons who look “under 30”.
  • Monitoring alcohol consumption and determining intoxication levels. Offer non-alcoholic beverages to individuals who may be intoxicated. Notifying Supervisors of any guest who may be intoxicated.
  • Responsible for receiving bar orders and ensuring all invoices match product and supplies received.
  • Communicate with management regarding any area in need of special attention to better facilitate excellent guest service.
  • Creating a fun and inviting atmosphere in your area, also report any problems.
  • Responsible for inputting all food and beverage guest orders into the POS system.
  • Responsible for maintaining and restocking all items necessary for the bar.
  • Maintaining the Beverage Department standards for bar cleanliness and appearance. Example: replace dirty bar mops with clean ones. Replace wet beverage napkins with dray ones. Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Abide by all liquor laws and policies set forth by Wanaaha Casino.
  • Promotes current casino events and specials and can give guests directions to all casino areas.
  • Must be able to work any shift including splits, evenings, weekends and/or holidays according to business needs.
  • Sustain a courteous attitude and pleasant demeanor in all relations including guests and colleagues.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
