About The Position

The Bartender will be responsible for providing efficient friendly customer service at all times and to maintain a clean, professional top-quality bar for our indoor-outdoor rooftop Ibis Sky lounge Bar. This role involves greeting guests, taking orders, mixing drinks, and ensuring adherence to recipes and liquor liability laws. The bartender will also manage transactions, maintain cleanliness, and assist with station setup and breakdown.

Requirements

Minimum 1-year bartending experience.
Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient and friendly customer service.
Maintain a clean and professional bar.
Follow and enforce all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards, and recipes.
Properly set up and maintain a clean and efficient bar throughout the shift.
Greet guests with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections and daily specials.
Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
Enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and adhere to cash handling standards.
Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
Polish and clean water glasses before opening hours.
Perform station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
