About The Position

McMenamins Elks Temple is hiring for a Bartender. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. They operate a range of locations from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, emphasizing community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. The Bartender role involves handling all tasks from opening to closing the bar, including serving food, pouring and serving beverages, operating a cash register/POS system, waiting on and bussing tables, doing dishes, restocking supplies, general cleaning, completing end-of-shift books, and maintaining customer relations. Bartenders are responsible for all cashiering duties. This role can be physically demanding and requires mental agility, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfort working in both smoking and non-smoking areas. Bartenders must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card
  • Obtain and maintain a current MAST card
  • Be 21+ years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Previous related experience is preferred
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
  • Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Handle all tasks from opening to closing of the bar
