About The Position

1UP Entertainment + Social Carrollwood / Tampa, FL is a high-energy venue featuring bowling, axe throwing, golf simulators, VR, arcade games, two bars, and an upscale scratch kitchen. We are seeking experienced bartenders who can efficiently prepare drinks, understand the atmosphere, and engage with guests. A unique aspect of this role is that bartenders also serve dining tables, offering increased earning potential through more sections and tips. The venue hosts events and late-night programs, which are typically high-volume and high-tip shifts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
  • Working knowledge of craft cocktails, local beers, and specialty beers.
  • Excellent attitude, integrity, and a strong team-player mindset.
  • Good communication skills with guests, floor staff, and management.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Comfortable serving dining tables in addition to bar service.
  • Availability to work events and late-night programs as scheduled or needed.
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to pick up extra shifts.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying hot and cold conditions.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Florida Responsible Vendor / alcohol awareness certification.

  • Experience with VR, arcade games, or other entertainment attractions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and serve drinks quickly and accurately, including cocktails, beer, and wine, while also managing food and tab service for assigned sections.
  • Take and serve dining tables within your section, providing a complete guest experience from initial greeting to final closing.
  • Work scheduled events and late-night programs, such as Latin Night and private events, which are the highest volume and highest tip opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, make recommendations, anticipate guest needs, and ensure tables and bar tops are kept clean and refreshed.
  • Accurately ring tabs into the POS system and process transactions efficiently to prevent any 'walked' checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness by wiping and sanitizing bar tops and service areas every 30 minutes.
  • Stock, restock, and maintain inventory in the bar, beer cooler, and liquor storage areas.
  • Perform opening and closing duties with attention to detail, including daily prep, par stocking, and end-of-shift cleaning.
  • Observe the environment, follow alcohol awareness procedures, and promptly report any concerning guest behavior to management.
  • Collaborate with other bartenders and servers in a harmonious team environment, rather than focusing on territorial claims.
