The Bartender position is responsible for completing all side work and stocking of the bar according to standard. This role serves beverages in the bar and for restaurant guests as needed, providing efficient and courteous service. The Bartender also takes food orders, relays them to the kitchen and servers, and manages the cash drawer, including daily cash reports and closing out the register. Maintaining a neat bar, stocked beer cooler, filled ice bins, replenished bar snacks, clean glassware, and stocked garnishes are key duties. The role involves checking IDs for alcohol sales, attending training classes, and assisting with telephone coverage, to-go orders, reservations, and other service tasks. Additionally, the Bartender may assist with banquet functions.
