About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for welcoming guests, making them feel appreciated, and providing efficient food and beverage service. This role involves mixing and serving drinks, managing orders and payments, and ensuring a clean and stocked bar area. The Bartender must also anticipate guest needs, learn their preferences, and responsibly serve alcohol.

  • Ability to learn guest names, occupations, and favorite drinks.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language at all times.
  • Makes guests feel appreciated through your actions.
  • Work as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
  • Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times.
  • Mixes, garnishes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.
  • Input drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and makes change.
  • Wash and sterilizes stemware.
  • Count drinks guests are served and track open bar tabs.
  • Anticipate Guest’s needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink; remain alert of Guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledges Guest so they know you will be right with them.
  • Learn guests’ names, occupations, and favorite drinks.
  • Responsibly serve alcohol and remain aware of guests’ state of intoxication.
