About The Position

Established in March 2012, The Dirty Buffalo brings the taste of Western New York to Hampton Roads! We are a family-owned, locally operated restaurant that focuses on delivering great wings and other Northern comfort food in a casual, family-friendly environment. We are also growing! We opened our first franchise in 2021 and plan to continue to expand throughout the Southeast. Requirements

Outgoing and friendly and love talking to people
A true entertainer
Customer service rockstar and a great salesperson
Knowledge of local craft beer offerings and alcoholic drink profiles
Can handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Prefer working on a team, helping out your peers, and jumping in where you are needed - even if it’s taking out the trash or mopping floors
Take your job seriously and don’t call out or show up late unless it’s a true emergency
Like to hustle, always keep moving and would prefer to stay busy
Excited to learn something new and be part of something good
Stand up and move for most - if not all - of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs
Work weekends and holidays
Get to work in inclement weather (we are from Buffalo, we don’t close for snow)
Understand and communicate in the predominant language of our guests

Responsibilities

Go above and beyond, every day, every shift, to make the guest happy
Know our menu inside and out, can recommend favorite dishes, and stay up to date on specials or newly available options
Use basic bar tools like jiggers, shakers, and store and pours, and can prepare syrups and garnishes
Follow our no shots policy
Differentiate well, call and premium liquors and can describe flavor profiles for our drinks
Always know our current beer offerings and can make recommendations
Show up on time, in uniform, with a smile every day
Take and receive direction like a pro and when you don’t understand something you ask lots of questions
When you see something that isn’t right, or receive a complaint from a guest, you go out of your way to make it right
