About The Position

Estelle's Cafe & Lounge is seeking a Bartender with 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume bar setting. This role offers the opportunity to earn great money, have fun, and be part of an awesome team. Estelle's, located in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, has been a local favorite for over a decade, operating nightly from 6 pm to 4 am and serving food and drinks. Known for its art deco decor, great jukebox, friendly staff, and quality offerings, Estelle's is considered the premier rock bar in Bucktown. The establishment also hosts various private parties. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a hospitality mindset, consistently perform at a high level, thrive in a team environment, and spread positivity. The role involves contributing to the company's passion for enhancing neighborhoods by creating enjoyable guest experiences for dining and drinking.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience bartending in a high-volume bar
• Craft cocktail experience
• Knowledge of wine and beer styles and appropriate glassware
• Great communication skills
• Ability to be a good teammate
• Responsibility, personal accountability, and reliability
• Proficiency with POS systems
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and certain holidays
• Maintain alcohol knowledge and safety certifications as required by company and city/state

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred
• Two or more years of high-volume bartending experience
