About The Position

At Fielding’s Steak , our bar is an extension of our luxury steakhouse experience. The Bartender plays a pivotal role in curating memorable guest experiences through exceptional craft cocktails, polished service, and deep product knowledge. This position requires technical precision, hospitality excellence, and the ability to perform gracefully in a high-energy, upscale environment. Our bartenders are not simply drink makers — they are ambassadors of the Fielding’s brand, executing our Craft Cocktail Program with accuracy, elegance, and confidence while creating meaningful guest connections.

Requirements

  • Current TABC Certification (required).
  • Current Food Handler Certification (required).
  • Minimum 1–2 years bartending experience in an upscale or high-volume environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with POS systems (LAVU experience a plus).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating procedures and manuals.
  • Demonstrated passion for food, wine, spirits, and hospitality.
  • Strong ability to thrive in highly fluid, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail while working efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to think quickly and apply sound judgment in dynamic situations.
  • Clear and confident verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork mentality and respect for colleagues (“Partners”).

Responsibilities

  • Craft Cocktail & Beverage Execution
  • Execute Fielding’s Craft Cocktail program with strict adherence to standardized recipes.
  • Utilize a jigger 100% of the time without exception to ensure consistency, cost control, and quality.
  • Prepare cocktails with speed, precision, and refined technique in a luxury setting.
  • Pour wine to specification using designated equipment and follow proper wine presentation standards.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and current seasonal features.
  • Confidently recommend pairings and upsell premium selections to enhance the guest experience.
  • Service Excellence
  • Deliver attentive, engaging, and personalized service to guests seated at and around the bar.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism during high-volume service periods.
  • Greet guests promptly while simultaneously preparing and serving beverages.
  • Process food and beverage orders accurately using the LAVU POS system.
  • Execute and package to-go orders with accuracy and presentation standards intact.
  • Uphold Fielding’s hospitality standards in every guest interaction.
  • Operational Standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar station at all times.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling protocols.
  • Monitor bar inventory and communicate needs proactively.
  • Attend quarterly operational meetings to review performance standards and expectations.
  • Follow all guidelines, procedures, and policies set forth by Fielding’s Culinary Group.
