About The Position
This role involves interacting professionally with guests, demonstrating knowledge of menus and the venue's features, and mixing drinks according to standard recipes. The position also includes assisting with table service, food preparation, waste control, and ensuring guest satisfaction and safety. A key aspect is adhering to alcohol service policies and legal requirements, including checking identification and recognizing signs of intoxication. The role requires operating a POS system accurately, completing shift paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- 2+ years previous waitstaff and/or bartending experience preferred.
- SERVSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred or required if mandated by the state.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Interact professionally with guests using Spare Time Service Standards.
- Serve guests following Spare Time Entertainment’s Steps of Service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all menus and make suggestions.
- Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes and guidelines.
- Observe and assist in preparing tables for guests by cleaning surfaces and ensuring seats are orderly.
- Bus tables in the restaurant area and return dishes to the dishwashing area.
- Assist with food preparation when necessary.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Assist with waste control.
- Patrol assigned section to respond to guest needs and address concerns.
- Review guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption according to policy and law.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and take appropriate actions.
- Operate the POS System accurately for transactions, billing, and payments.
- Complete required complimentary shift paperwork with settlement.
- Complete shift opening and closing duties.
- Maintain clean equipment and working areas according to health codes.
- Keep products and areas organized and restocked.
- Communicate any inventory shortages to a supervisor.
- Maintain current certifications.
- Report all company violations to management.
