About The Position

Carversteak, located at Resorts World Las Vegas, is a contemporary interpretation of a classic casino steakhouse, blending mid-century modern nostalgia with modern design and technology. The 14,500 square foot establishment features an expansive bar and lounge, a main dining room, and a terrace with outdoor seating overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The ambiance is enhanced by a digital art program and a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system. The menu offers a selection of dry-aged American steaks, Japanese-certified Wagyu, classic steakhouse staples, and vegan options. The beverage program, led by mixologist Francesco Lafranconi, includes an extensive wine list, a curated whiskey collection, and an Avant-Garden cocktail experience with an onsite herb garden. Private event spaces are also available.

Requirements

Previous beverage/bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.

Responsibilities

Preparing all alcoholic beverages for guests.
Actively taking orders, conducting full food and beverage service, and monitoring guests' bar and dining experience.
Greeting customers, learning about their preferences, answering questions, and recommending menu items.
Creating a fun and energetic environment.
Maintaining professional appearance standards.
Anticipating and accommodating guest needs while providing professional and exceptional service.
Presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions for all food and beverage items.
Soliciting allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest.
Accurately entering all orders into the POS system and following proper cash/card payment procedures.
Ensuring the delivery of all food and beverage to guests at the bar and lounge.
Maintaining general cleanliness of the bar, bar area, and the entire venue.
Organizing liquor displays and shelving, and maintaining par levels.
Serving all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.
Protecting the establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
Accurately completing all end-of-shift financial procedures.
Communicating guest needs to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs.
Properly setting up bar stations, performing side-work, and other opening/closing procedures.
Reporting all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings.
Updating knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
