About The Position

As Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting classic and creative alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. Creativity, knowledge of mixology, and excellent customer service skills help establish the operation’s reputation as a go-to destination for exceptional drinks.

Requirements

  • Prior bartending experience
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication
  • Are organized and proficient at multitasking
  • Are a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment)
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends, to accommodate the business and demands of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Crafts classic and creative alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Engages with customers to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the full food and drink menu while making recommendations.
  • Creates a diverse range of handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, and other specialty beverages with precision and flair, using high-quality ingredients, techniques, and garnishes.
  • Continually innovates and introduces new and exciting drink creations.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests, engaging in friendly and professional conversation, and understanding their preferences.
  • Offers recommendations and suggestions based on guest tastes, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience.
  • Efficiently and accurately takes drink orders, prepares them promptly, and serves beverages with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Ensures all orders are prepared in compliance with company standards and specific customer requests.
  • Demonstrates an extensive understanding of classic and contemporary mixology, including various spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients.
  • Stays updated on emerging trends and new techniques within the industry.
  • Maintains a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all glassware, utensils, and bar tools are sanitized and readily available.
  • Adheres to safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
  • Upholds company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control.
  • Performs opening side work and set up station.
  • Attends and participates in any training sessions and department meetings.
  • Properly serves wine and alcohol (with awareness).
  • Properly executes closing procedures.
  • Follows high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures.
  • Provides guest check promptly and returns receipt promptly.
  • Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Provides engaged, friendly, and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation, and smiling.
  • Practices highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials.
  • Follows and adheres to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines.
  • Has knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol.
  • Performs other related activities as assigned by management.
  • Guarantees neat and quality service.
  • Participates in daily shift meetings.
  • Follows company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with care.
  • Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completes safety training and certifications; properly stores flammable materials.
  • Ensures compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
