About The Position

Big Fish is a new seafood and American restaurant opening at Broadway at the Beach. It will feature great food, a relaxed atmosphere, live music, and sports on every screen. The bar is a busy, social, and central part of the room. We are building the opening bar team and are looking for bartenders who can handle volume, mix quality drinks, and manage their bar as if it were their own.

Requirements

• 2+ years bartending experience in a full-service, high-volume establishment.
• Proficiency in making classic and modern cocktails.
• Ability to read guests and tailor recommendations.
• Solid fundamentals in beer and wine knowledge.
• Ability to work fast without sacrificing quality.
• Leadership qualities and ability to engage with guests and team.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and event nights.
• Must be 21+ years old (SC requirement).
• Must have or be able to obtain SC responsible alcohol server training before the first shift.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift cases.

Responsibilities

• Run a high-volume service bar and a packed guest-facing bar.
• Make great drinks.
• Take care of bar guests with excellent hospitality.
• Fulfill service-bar tickets for the dining room.
• Lead the bar during live music and game nights.
• Build cocktails to spec, every time.
• Pour beer and wine to standard and know the beverage list.
• Manage cash, cards, and tabs accurately.
• Perform end-of-night closing duties.
• Set up, break down, and restock the bar, maintaining a clean and organized station.
• Follow alcohol service rules and identify when to refuse service.
• Help train new bartenders and barbacks.
