About The Position

Amaterra Kitchen & Social Club offers a vibrant, upscale dining and social experience focused on exceptional hospitality, quality food and beverages, and meaningful guest connections. Team members are expected to contribute to a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and service excellence. Amaterra Kitchen & Social Club is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences through knowledgeable beverage service, craft cocktail preparation, wine service, and genuine hospitality. This role plays a key part in maintaining the welcoming and upscale atmosphere of our restaurant, wine tasting room, and social club while ensuring efficient bar operations and adherence to all service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid OLCC Service Permit and Oregon Food Handler Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant, wine bar, hotel, or similar hospitality environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, professional, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Create memorable guest experiences through personalized recommendations and attentive service.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and members while maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, concerns, and special accommodations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food menus, beverage offerings, wines, beers, and specialty cocktails.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Execute craft cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Recommend wines, cocktails, and beverage pairings to complement menu selections.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and verify guest age in accordance with Oregon liquor laws.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and address service concerns professionally and appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
  • Prepare garnishes, mixers, syrups, and other bar ingredients as needed.
  • Participate in opening, closing, and side work duties.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating beverage inventory.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all products.
  • Work closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education programs.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
