About The Position

Moxy Charleston Rooftop Bar is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people, loves learning, and wants to be part of their growing team. This role is an opportunity to tell stories through food, beverage, and Filipino hospitality. The beverage program is built around fresh ingredients, thoughtful cocktails, wine, beer, and an evolving zero-proof program. Menus are seasonal, and beverages are designed to complement the food. There is a tremendous amount to learn about Filipino cuisine, ingredients, traditions, and hospitality. Bartenders are an integral part of the dining room experience, working in a fun and playful environment that hosts a variety of events and live entertainment. Hospitality extends beyond the bar, and bartenders assist with service throughout the dining room when opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Genuine enjoyment of taking care of people.
• Desire to learn.
• Ability to prepare cocktails, wine, beer, sake, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn food and beverage menus thoroughly and guide guests through pairings and recommendations.
• Ability to work in unison with service and kitchen teams.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Ability to complete opening, closing, prep, and side work.
• Willingness to assist throughout the restaurant.

• Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Filipino cuisine, ingredients, traditions, and hospitality.

• Assist throughout the restaurant whenever needed, embracing our whole-house hospitality model.
