With delegated authority, reporting to the General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Beverage Manager and Lead Bartender, the Bartender is responsible for taking beverage orders from guests and servers, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes. The role involves learning and recognizing regular guests, accurately recording drink orders, accepting guest payments, processing credit card charges, and making change. Responsibilities also include washing and sterilizing glassware, preparing garnishes, replenishing bar snacks, maintaining bar inventory and supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of all bar areas. The Bartender will present drink menus, make recommendations, answer guest questions, and receive and serve food orders to guests at the bar. Additionally, the role requires reporting equipment problems and maintenance issues, adhering to company policies regarding the legal drinking age, and stopping service to obviously intoxicated guests by referring them to the Manager on Duty. The Bartender must be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operations. The position requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as professionalism and dependability.
