About The Position

The Bartender ensures customer and server drink orders are prepared in a timely manner according to established guidelines while maintaining bar cleanliness standards. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons. The Bartender functions as the location’s expert on bar systems, recipes, procedures, and knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer served, and must complete all training requirements. The role involves greeting bar guests promptly, using suggestive selling techniques, recording beverage orders, preparing drinks according to established guidelines, and delivering them to the guest. Additionally, the Bartender monitors guest’s drinks to anticipate re-order requests, collects monies owed, performs guest check accountability procedures, maintains a balanced bar drawer, and performs tip declaration activities. The position also includes preparing and completing orders for Servers, washing bar service ware, and setting up, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining the bar area and bar cooler. The Bartender may also perform Server responsibilities as needed, handle ‘To Go’ and Associate food orders, and perform Inventory activities as scheduled. A crucial aspect of the role is understanding and executing procedures for verifying a guest's ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knowing how to prevent a guest from over-indulging.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working as a barista, bartender, and/or food preparation.
• Experience in and passion for consumer service.
• Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
• An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach.
• Delivering quality beverages consistently and according to shop standards.
• Ability to handle all required tasks around handling cash register.
• Learn all menus and is able to communicate all food and beverage offerings.
• Clean and clear service areas.
• Perform correct POS transactions, closing duties and accounting procedures as required.
• Ability and desire to obey all local, state, and federal laws.
• Ability to memorize and become knowledgeable of menu items.

• Prepares and completes orders for Servers.
