About The Position

Southern Hospitality Company, an entity of Southern Land Company, is headquartered in Nashville, TN is seeking a bartender to open our new Italian restaurant, Lupo Notte. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, in a fast-paced work environment. The Bartender crafts and serves beverages, interacts with customers, manages bar inventory, and maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The role requires a blend of technical skills and strong customer service abilities, often in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience working in a restaurant.
  • Tennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 90 days on property).

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and current beverage trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle a diverse clientele and address complaints professionally.
  • The ability to manage multiple orders and tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • A willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and serves a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, wine, and beer, following standard recipes and presentation standards.
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders, make knowledgeable recommendations, and ensures a positive and enjoyable experience for guests.
  • Verifies customer identification to confirm legal drinking age and monitor behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service, adhering to all state and local laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area, including washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and replenishing inventory like liquor, garnishes, and supplies.
  • Accurately manage cash and credit card transactions using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and balance receipts at the end of a shift.
  • Works effectively with other front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service to patrons at the bar and in the dining area.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies and regulations.
