AM Bartender - Cherry Street, Tulsa
About The Position
We are looking for a morning person who is also great behind a bar. Our Cherry Street location is a popular spot with great food, a strong bar program, and a loyal neighborhood following. We need someone to manage the AM bar shift efficiently and engagingly. This role involves opening the bar, preparing it for service, serving a variety of beverages including beer, cocktails, and mimosas, and maintaining a positive atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be adept at customer interaction, accurate with transactions, and a strong team player, while strictly adhering to responsible alcohol service laws. Responsibilities also include restocking, garnish preparation, and general bar maintenance to ensure a smooth transition to the evening shift.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Eligible for Oklahoma ABLE certification (or already possess it).
- Previous bartending experience.
- Proficiency with shakers, taps, and POS systems.
- Ability to work morning shifts.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Genuine enjoyment of interacting with people.
- Stamina to be on your feet and engaged for a full shift.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to create a signature drink.
- Skill in making small talk.
- Prior experience with brunch or breakfast service.
- Familiarity with the Cherry Street neighborhood, its vibe, and local traffic patterns.
Responsibilities
- Opening the bar and ensuring it is stocked, clean, and ready for service.
- Serving beverages such as beer, cocktails, and mimosas.
- Engaging with customers, remembering names and orders.
- Maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handling cash and operating the POS system accurately.
- Collaborating with kitchen and floor staff to ensure efficient service.
- Adhering to Oklahoma's responsible alcohol service laws.
- Restocking, preparing garnishes, and performing general bar upkeep.
