About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for creating an outstanding guest experience by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes, responsible alcohol service standards, and company policies. This position delivers exceptional hospitality, maintains beverage quality and inventory standards, processes guest transactions accurately, and contributes to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while supporting the operational success of the Food & Beverage department.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, service bar, fine dining, hospitality, or nightclub environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cocktail preparation, beverage recipes, and mixology techniques.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to responsible alcohol service and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and professional beverage service to all guests.
  • Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Engage guests by discussing beverage selections, recommending cocktails, and providing knowledgeable product suggestions.
  • Promote specialty cocktails and beverage offerings through effective upselling techniques while complying with responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption, assess intoxication levels, and take appropriate action in accordance with responsible beverage service guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable liquor laws, company alcohol service policies, and responsible beverage service training requirements.
  • Operate and maintain beverage equipment, including refrigeration systems, post-mix syrup dispensing systems, and beer reticulation systems.
  • Follow inventory control and stock management procedures to maintain product availability and minimize waste.
  • Process guest payments and authorized complimentary beverages in accordance with company procedures.
  • Accurately balance the cash register and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Communicate guest feedback, operational concerns, and service issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and promotion of beverage specials.
  • Assist in training beverage servers interested in bartender advancement opportunities.
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs.
  • Promote positive guest relations and maintain productive working relationships with fellow team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance and work area at all times.
  • Follow all departmental policies, company procedures, internal controls, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
