About The Position

Verandah Club is looking for friendly, energetic Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team! If you enjoy creating great experiences, connecting with members and guests, and working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to have you join us. As a Bartender, you’ll provide friendly, attentive service while preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar, and creating a memorable experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and understands the level of service expected in a private club or fine dining environment. Private club, fine dining, or upscale hospitality experience is preferred, but we’re also happy to train the right person with a great attitude and a passion for service.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Relevant training certificate
• Good organizational and verbal skills.
• Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
• Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 40 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
• Ability to consistently lift, carry and load equipment that may weigh 40 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
• Private club, fine dining, or upscale hospitality experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
