About The Position

Zilli Hospitality Group is seeking part-time Bartenders to support the Event Manager in delivering exceptional beverage service and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Bartenders will craft a variety of drinks, serve wine and beer at events, and possess an energetic and charismatic personality to enhance the overall event experience. This role involves learning efficient bar setup and cost management techniques. The position is primarily based in Waukesha but also serves guests in both the Milwaukee and Waukesha areas. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to legal alcohol service requirements.
  • Hold a valid Milwaukee and/or Waukesha Bartending License or be willing to obtain one upon job acceptance.
  • Complete a Wisconsin Department of Revenue recognized Responsible Beverage training course, which may be part of the licensing process.
  • Preferably have six months of bartending-related work experience, or possess bartender certification in lieu of experience.
  • Must have flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, aligning with business requirements.
  • Demonstrate reliability in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excel in providing excellent customer service to both internal customers (Management and coworkers) and external customers (guests and clients).
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to insured transportation (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Be capable of continuous repetitive motion activities, including standing, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, walking, and lifting during 90% of the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks under the guidance of the Event Manager with minimal supervision.
  • Load and unload beverage products and equipment from catering trucks as needed for events.
  • Efficiently set up the bar from start to finish at various event venues.
  • Read and comprehend the entire event contract, not just the bar service section.
  • Serve beverages to guests at catered functions, ensuring timely delivery within one minute of the order.
  • Answer guest questions, make beverage suggestions, and maintain knowledge of the menu items, drinks, wine, and beer.
  • Observe guests, anticipate their needs, and respond to additional requests while resolving issues promptly.
  • Escalate complaints or problems to the Event Manager when necessary.
  • Alert Security and the Event Manager to major disruptions or guest incidents as required.
  • Accurately calculate guest checks, accept payments, and provide change.
  • Prepare garnishments, restock the bar with clean glassware, equipment, and supplies, and assist with beverage inventories.
  • Wash glassware and bar materials, maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
  • Complete a Bar Report at the end of each event and promptly report any maintenance issues.
  • Suggest improvements to the operating format and continually enhance bartending skills through event attendance and learning opportunities.
  • Lead by example, provide training to fellow associates as needed, and support Event Managers' decisions.
  • Strive for positive feedback from co-workers and Event Managers during post-event analysis.
  • Keep busy during downtime at events and be prepared to work in various conditions, such as rain, snow, early or late shifts, and loud music.
