About The Position
As a Bartender, you will craft exceptional drinks, deliver outstanding service, and maintain a clean, well-stocked bar in a fast-paced casino environment. If you have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality, we invite you to join our team! What does a Bartender do? Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always acknowledges guests, preferably by name. Ensures beer, soda, liquor, glassware and paper products are appropriately stocked in the beginning and end of each shift; as well as when leaving for scheduled breaks. Effectively makes cocktails according to YBRC and/or guest specifications. Offers drinks suggestions/recommendations to guests when appropriate. Consistently keeps bar area clean. Cleans top of bar and polishes stainless steel on a regular basis. Properly washes all bar dishes used during assigned shift, and leaves area clean before going on break and prior to shift end.
Requirements
- Previous alcohol beverage service preferred.
- Knowledge of liquor service standards, compliance laws, and responsible service techniques a plus.
- Must be able to complete and be well versed in alcohol service training.
- Must maintain working knowledge of acceptable forms of identification.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify altered or false identification.
- Must accurately handle cash transactions, make correct change, and process orders using the Point of Sale system.
- Must be able to speak English and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 41 - 50 pounds.
