About The Position

The Bartender position requires an energetic, outgoing, and fun personality while maintaining professionalism. This role involves performing varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service, offering polite, professional, and courteous customer service. Bartenders will communicate effectively with co-workers and guests, mix ingredients, and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipes. They will also serve wine, and bottled or draft beer, take beverage orders, and be well-versed in the products to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items. Additional duties include checking guests' identification, presenting and encouraging current promotions, accurately recording and accounting for all items ordered, securing payment, and accurately accounting for all sales and receipts.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
  • Must meet state legal age requirements.
  • Must speak fluent English.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
