Requirements

Meet the age requirement for serving alcohol.
Certified in food handling and alcohol service, following all local regulations.

Ability to handle the hustle and bustle of a busy bar.
Team player.
Available to work nights and weekends.
Strength to carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand tall for extended periods.
Prior experience as a bartender in a high volume establishment.
Thorough knowledge of Flix brewery.
Ability to multi-task and serve several guests at once.
Knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Professional communication skills.
Ability to take direction, develop and work in a team environment.
Works calmly and executes job duties effectively under pressure.
Accountable, self-motivated, organized and utilizing problem solving skills.
Committed to quality movie-going and brewpub service and menu knowledge.
Ability to speak and hear.
Close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Mix craft concoctions and pour craft brews.
Create a welcoming ambiance for guests.
Greet and wait on bar top and lounge guests providing the highest level of service.
Fill drink orders for servers.
Pour draft beer, wine and prepare standard mixed drinks.
Operate a cash register.
Serve food and drinks to guests seated at the bar.
Maintain exceptional cleaning skills.
Check valid identification of guests to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase.
May be delegated the responsibility of ordering and maintaining an inventory of bar supplies.
Sell and serve alcoholic beverages to guests of legal drinking age.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked bar in compliance with legal requirements.
Communicate with management on when supplies are low or out.
Recognize levels of intoxication and prevent guests from becoming intoxicated.
Utilize proper pours and restock bar supplies and products.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Inform guests about current beers and practice suggestive selling.
Maintain cleanliness of bar and lounge areas, bar top, chairs, and equipment.
Maintain and clean all liquor and draft beer control devices.
Record all sales by ringing exact amounts into the register.
Make alcoholic drinks for servers through a ticket ordering system.
Greet customers in a courteous and professional fashion.
Know upcoming beers and their talking points.
Set up bar area and seating area prior to opening and reset after guests depart.
Check opening inventory and any shortages or changes.
Rotate and restock bar coolers, wine racks and liquor rails.
Change tap on empty kegs and report any problems or leaks.
Maintain security of all bar supplies and products.
