About The Position
The Bartender position is part of the Culinary team at Harbours Edge, a Lifespace Community located in Delray Beach, Florida. Lifespace Communities, headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa and Dallas, Texas, is one of the nation's largest non-profit senior living providers, employing over 4,500 team members and serving over 5,100 residents. The role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, engaging with residents and guests, managing transactions, and maintaining bar inventory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree preferred
- Two to three years of experience as bartender in a hotel or restaurant preferred
- Certification as a bartender preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve bar beverages
- Control the mixing and pouring of a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide resident and guest engagement
- Achieve accurate transactions in the point of sales system
- Administer proper storing techniques for beverages, supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Organize bar, maintain inventory par levels, track inventory and supplies needed for operation
