About The Position

We are seeking a Bartender to join our team at Lenbrook Square Foundation. In this role, you will provide alcohol and wine service to create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests, adhering to all current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Lenbrook’s established policies and procedures. You will take orders and serve drinks as requested by residents, operating within a framework that ensures the care and safety of residents and guests. This is a non-tipped position.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages drink recipes and service
  • Knowledge of wines and wine service
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to correctly and accurately operate POS system
  • Ability to multitask – both drink preparation and direct table service to residents
  • Ability to maintain inventory and control alcoholic beverages
  • Must be alcohol serve safe certified or can be certified
  • Must be able to be familiar with legal responsibilities and laws of alcohol service in local and state areas
  • Must demonstrate high level of sensitivity and interest in people, especially older adults
  • Must have patience, tact, and cheerful disposition and function as key member of the dining service team
  • High energy and fast on feet
  • Ability to be organized while multi-tasking
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Have or be able to get alcohol serve safe or equivalent certification
  • Dietary nutrition a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol beverages in an accurate and efficient method
  • Serve drinks to residents as ordered and prepare and serve drinks as ordered by servers
  • Follow all safety, legal, and sanitation rules and regulations.
  • Promote responsible conduct to residents and guests to be safe knowledge of fire safety and procedures
  • Assist with evacuation of residents if needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents personal and medical record information
  • Protect the property and assets of the department and Lenbrook
  • Set and serve party bars as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the bar area and especially the glassware
  • Report stock levels to Storeroom clerk for ordering and inventory purposes.
