About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up and servicing individual beverage locations, properly handling cash, enforcing all liquor laws, verifying and accounting for liquor inventory, maintaining proper sanitation of the work area, following proper safety practices, and providing pleasant and efficient service to customers. The Bartender reports to F&B Personnel in appropriate uniform for their assigned location. They will prepare all beverage items for sale at their station, sell to customers charging the amount indicated on the ASM price list, and receive and handle cash and/or tickets. Accurate verification of all cash and liquor inventory with a supervisor is required, as is ensuring the cash register is programmed properly according to ASM approved sales prices. The Bartender must follow all rules and regulations applicable to beverage operations and the Food and Beverage Division, and request identification for every guest purchasing alcohol.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
Must have basic working knowledge of bar operation.
Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
Must be able to stand walk for the duration of shift.
Must be able to carry and lift, according to industry standards.
Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
No certifications are required.
