About The Position

The Bartender position at Paradies Lagardère at DEN Airport is responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking drink and food orders, mixing beverages according to recipes, processing transactions, and ensuring a clean and well-stocked bar. This role also involves adhering to alcohol awareness procedures, maintaining health and safety standards, inventory management, and building guest loyalty. The position requires compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-year experience bartending required
  • Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change and cash handling procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.
  • Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Proficiency required in reading and writing and mathematics
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on ladder, and walking long distances.
  • Standing for long periods of time and the ability to work in environment with varying temperatures

Nice To Haves

  • Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner and peers.
  • Greet guests and take drink and food order; provide information about menu items and look for opportunity for additional sales.
  • Follow recipes and directions for mixing beverages.
  • Accurately process transactions through the POS.
  • Respond appropriately to customer concerns.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deal with intoxicated guests.
  • Ensure a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inventory all beverages and operation supplies, order replacement items as needed.
  • Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials.
  • Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping.
  • Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.
