About The Position

Bartenders are responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience in the Golfer's Lounge by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing exceptional customer service. Duties include verifying the identification and age of guests, mixing and serving beverages based on customer requests, processing payments, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and balancing cash receipts to record sales. Bartenders are expected to engage with golfers and resort guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere that enhances the overall golf experience. They also assist with stocking inventory, cleaning glassware and bar equipment, and maintaining compliance with all applicable alcohol service regulations.

Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multitask.
Must have valid Food Handler's card.
Ability/flexibility to work 45-55+ hours per week including mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Requires knowledge of computer hardware, word-processing, spreadsheet and data base software.
Requires knowledge of business letter writing and business forms; office procedures, business English, including vocabulary, correct grammatical usage and punctuation, filing systems; and common office machines and their operation.
Previous work experience in bartending in full-service restaurants.
Fluent in English.
Ability to do basic arithmetic.

Nice To Haves

Prefer experience with Microsoft Office.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, and supporting the team to reach common goals.
Practicing proper trash and recycling procedures.
Welcoming and greeting guests, and knowing regular guests by name, preference and needs.
Knowing ingredients for the most common cocktails (garnishes, proper glassware and prices).
Informing guests about specialty drinks, as well as answering questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Clearly understanding the needs of guests and providing service at a high level.
Taking orders in a timely manner and accounting for all orders properly and accurately.
Communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Assuring guests have the proper utensils and plates as needed throughout the meal.
Using POS systems accordingly and accurately to complete cash transactions.
Having full knowledge of all menu items, wines by the glass, beers, and signature drinks.
Helping to clear between every course.
Maintaining knowledge of all coming courses and communications between team members.
Guest maintenance and attention to detail throughout the guest’s experience.
Finishing all opening and closing duties on a deadline basis.
