About The Position

Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is the ultimate night out, with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, 19 premier bowling lanes, 4 bars and comfort food. The Role : Bartender - Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests in a friendly , efficient, professional manner. This is a part-time position that participates in a tip pool with barbacks, runners and servers.

Requirements

Valid T ABC Card
Minimum of 1-year experience as a bartender
Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills
Ability to work later hours
Strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work closely and efficiently with others
Accurately measure ingredients for mixing drinks
Move throughout the bar and venue areas during the entire shift
Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
Tolerance of all identities, cultures, music and art forms

Nice To Haves

4 years work experience in high volume environment
High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience in a live music environment
Experience working in a high-volume restaurant, bar or entertainment venue preferred
Positive, friendly attitude

Responsibilities

Interact with guests in a natural, friendly manner
Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
Successfully complete a pour test at manager discretion
Suggestively sell both beverage and menu items to guests at the bar
Deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
Prioritize and organize drink orders
Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems
Report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management
Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
Ensure responsible alcohol service per T ABC guidelines and Brooklyn Bowl alcohol policies
Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
Maintain Brooklyn Bowl safety and sanitation standards
Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to Brooklyn Bowl policy
Prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to Brooklyn Bowl policy
Perform cash pull / check out procedures
Maintain appropriate Comp and Spill checks
Knowledge of Health Code and ABC regulations and understanding of compliance
Occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue and maintain Special Event etiquette
