There's a place for you here today and tomorrow. Under general supervision, the Bartender opens and closes the hotel bar for guests following Company policies and procedures. This role maintains the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean, well-organized manner while serving and assisting guests. The Bartender is expected to present a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and co-workers. They should also have general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer guest questions.

Requirements

  • Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly
  • Ability to mix a wide variety of drinks
  • Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, cash register, dishwashers, speed batch ovens and microwave
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
  • Ability to open and close bar
  • Ability to obtain all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails
  • Ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar area
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change
  • Ability to work with and prepare food
  • Ability to work independently or in teams
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible working varying shifts and time schedules as needed
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements
