About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to respond to guest and wait staff beverage requests in a timely and efficient manner. This role involves providing exceptional service, maintaining beverage knowledge, managing drink quality, handling cash transactions, adhering to alcohol awareness programs, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Bartender will also report guest concerns and potential issues to supervisors and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience is required.
• Prior cash handling experience is required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact.
• Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.
• Must possess a bartending license or have the ability to obtain one.
• Must attend responsible beverage service class within 90 days of hire date.
• Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in departmental training and development sessions.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of three months prior bartending experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional service to guests and other customers in a courteous manner.
• Responds to all customer and wait staff beverage requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains a complete knowledge of available beverages and drink mixing.
• Manages and maintains the quality, consistency and portion controls for all dispensed drinks.
• Computes guest check totals and completes cash handling on assigned Point of Sales System.
• Adheres to alcohol awareness programs including following protocols, checking guest identification and performing responsible beverage service.
• Manages and maintains daily tip records.
• Completes all side work and set up and closing activities.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment at all times including bar tops, counters and work stations.
• Reports any guest complaints or concerns to immediate supervisor or manager for resolution.
• Notifies supervisor, manager or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
