About The Position

At Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, elegance meets excellence! We are seeking a service-minded, highly professional individual to join our team as a Bartender in our Liberte Restobar. You will be responsible for welcoming guests in our urban chic lounge Liberté, explaining the menu and taking food and beverage orders. You will serve food and beverages according to Sofitel and AAA 4 Diamond standards maintaining current knowledge of all menu offerings, to include ingredients, preparation method, and presentation. You will be in charge of setting up and breaking down the Liberte Lounge during your assigned shift.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous bartending experience in an upscale, high-end restaurant or 4 diamond hotel
• 1 year of previous serving experience
• Experience in opening and closing shifts
• Experience with table service
• Experience with wine service
• Knowledge of food and wine pairing
• Knowledge of high-end liquors and aperitifs
• Experience with a high-end bar menu
• Pleasant, well spoken, gracious and willing to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Silverware
• Two years’ experience with a comparable restaurant software system
