About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing attentive table service while also preparing and serving beverages in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing bartending responsibilities, including taking guest orders, preparing cocktails and beverages, and ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the dining experience. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.   • Ability to serve food and drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner

  • Ability to ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any needs
  • Ability to collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery
  • Ability to handle payments, issue receipts, return change, or process credit cards
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas
  • Knowledge of all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner
  • Ability to present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation
  • Ability to memorize menu selections and wines, including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients
  • Ability to use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first
  • Ability to write the order in an order notebook and repeat the order back to guests for clarity
  • Ability to relay orders to the kitchen and service bar utilizing the point-of-sale system
  • Ability to observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the meal has been completed for guest checkout
  • Ability to total the bill and accept payment or refer the guest to the cashier
  • Ability to ladle soup, portion pies and desserts, and brew coffee
  • Ability to notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints
  • Ability to practice and observe all safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to assist all service personnel in any duties as requested
  • Ability to maintain and follow all cash handling procedures
