About The Position
Join Our Team as a Bartender at the Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown! Pay is $13.50/hour plus tip pool. At Parks Hospitality Group, we are looking for a friendly and motivated Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. In this dynamic role, you’ll do more than just pour drinks—you’ll be the creator of memorable guest experiences. You will provide exceptional beverage service, craft quality cocktails, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure a safe, lively, and welcoming environment for everyone who pulls up a stool.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of previous bartending experience.
- Strong knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and mixed drinks.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drink preparation and order taking.
- Good math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty cocktails, following standard recipes.
- Ensure compliance with state alcohol regulations, including verifying guest identification.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area, including clearing tables and cleaning equipment.
- Monitor and replenish bar inventory, notifying management of supply needs.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions per hotel procedures.
- Collaborate with barbacks and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
