About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for serving guests hard liquor, beer, and wine during events while ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized bar area, managing inventory, handling payments, and ensuring guest safety by recognizing and addressing signs of intoxication.

Requirements

Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume bartending capacity is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serving alcoholic drinks to guests following standard recipes and policies.
Completing accurate opening and closing inventory of products.
Ensuring location equipment is operable and clean before events.
Arranging bottles for attractive display behind the bar.
Checking guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
Maintaining cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas using sanitation procedures.
Collecting payment and reconciling change funds at the end of the event.
Recognizing visibly intoxicated guests and taking action to cut off alcohol service.
Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Demonstrating ability to meet company standards for excellent attendance.
Performing other duties as assigned.
