About The Position
Turtleback Mountain Golf and Resort, located in Elephant Butte, NM, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Requirements
- At least two years experience as well as knowledge of liquor beer and wine.
- Must be customer service driven.
- Have the ability to overcome stressful situations.
- ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace.
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to company values.
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors.
- Fluent in spoken, written, and comprehended English.
- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Nice To Haves
- Mixology experience helpful but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism.
- Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
- Stock bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, and maintain inventory records.
- Assist department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and the development of the menu.
- Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
- Perform opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to, inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize the Point-of-Sale system.
- Review banquet schedule for changes, special events, and calendar updates.
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
- On occasion, serve meals to guests.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
