About The Position

Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is seeking a driven and energetic individual to join their growing business in eastern Ontario as a BARTENDER. This position is responsible for mixing and serving beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and guests. The role requires alignment with Shorelines Casinos' culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for guests and colleagues.

Requirements

Current internal food & beverage employee
People-focused and committed to service excellence
Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
High School Diploma
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
Customer service experience
Smart Serve Certificate
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Providing Great Experiences and Memories to all guests, both external and internal

Nice To Haves

Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
Bartending and serving experience preferred

Responsibilities

Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service

Informs guests of any daily specials
Takes guests orders and makes recommendations
Prepares beverages
Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
Resolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if required
Presents bills upon request and taking payments
Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks bar if required
Covers other bartenders sections if required
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
