About The Position

We are looking for an outgoing, polished, and energetic Bartender who knows that great bartending is about much more than making drinks. It’s about creating a vibe, connecting with guests, knowing when to have a conversation, remembering a favorite order, and turning an ordinary evening into a memorable Richmond experience. We believe the best hospitality experiences are the ones guests remember long after the last drink is served.

Requirements

Outgoing, polished, and energetic demeanor
Ability to create a vibe and connect with guests
Ability to remember guest preferences
Strong knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, specials, and food pairings
Familiarity with and adherence to all Virginia alcohol service requirements
Ability to monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage service
Proficiency in using a POS system for order entry and payment processing
Skills in cash handling and transaction procedures
Ability to control pours and reduce waste
Ability to manage inventory
Excellent communication skills

Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
Deliver consistent drink quality, presentation, and portion control
Demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, specials, and food pairings
Verify identification and follow all Virginia alcohol service requirements
Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage service at all times
Maintain a polished and professional bar presentation throughout the shift
Recommending premium spirits, cocktails, food selections, and featured offerings
Promoting specials and hotel Food & Beverage experiences
Accurately entering orders and processing payments through the POS system
Protecting revenue through proper cash handling and transaction procedures
Controlling pours, reducing waste, and supporting responsible inventory management
Communicating product shortages, guest trends, and opportunities to management
Preparing and stocking the bar before service
Maintaining proper levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies
