About The Position

A bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing fast, friendly, and responsible service during events. Requirements

  • Must be able to provide fast, friendly, and responsible service during events.
  • Must adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Must be able to check guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Must be able to detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Must be able to receive payment from guests, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
  • Must be able to perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Must be able to keep work area clean and organized.
  • Must be able to wash and sterilize stemware.
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisors and other concession staff to maintain smooth service.
  • Must be able to handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
  • Must be able to follow venue, company, alcohol-compliance, and safety policies at all times.
  • Must be able to assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, restocking, inventory, and securing the bar.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Receives payment from guests, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, and equipment items
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other concession staff to maintain smooth service.
  • Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
  • Follow venue, company, alcohol-compliance, and safety policies at all times.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, restocking, inventory, and securing the bar.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
