About The Position

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking energetic, guest-focused Bartenders to join their culinary team. This role involves serving guests at concerts, weddings, special events, private functions, and within one of West Michigan's premier cultural destinations. Bartenders will play a key role in creating memorable moments for every visitor by serving beverages and ensuring exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules
• Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of bartending experience
• Experience in high-volume hospitality or event environments
• Knowledge of POS systems
• Strong mixology and beverage service knowledge

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a welcoming and professional attitude
• Follow standardized recipes and pour controls to ensure quality and consistency
• Process orders and payments through POS systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with liquor laws
• Support concerts, weddings, private events, and special programs
• Assist with event setup, service, and guest engagement as needed
• Help create a memorable experience for every guest
