About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Bartender/Cook for our Kitchen+Bar. This role offers great tips, a supportive team environment, and full-time benefits. The role involves opening and closing the Kitchen+Bar, maintaining a clean and organized food prep and bar area, and serving guests. You will also be expected to have general knowledge of the hotel and local area to assist guests with inquiries.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • One year of bartending experience required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements.
  • Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to handle money and make change.
  • Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of team members.
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make appropriate change.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of bartender experience preferred.
  • Completion of two years of college preferred.
  • Bartending experience preferred.
  • Friendly, energetic personality.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Opens and closes the hotel Kitchen+Bar following Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean, well-organized manner.
  • Serves and assists guests.
  • Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality.
  • Answers questions about the hotel, area, and events.
  • Mixes and serves a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Performs duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server or other positions as needed.
  • Handles money, makes change, and utilizes office machines.
  • Operates machines and equipment including cash register, POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment.
  • Communicates effectively with guests and all levels of team members.
  • Deals with difficult situations and people diplomatically while maintaining professionalism.
  • Opens and closes the bar.
  • Obtains all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails.
  • Cleans and maintains areas for which responsible.
  • Distinguishes between different denominations of currency and makes appropriate change.
