About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including garnishes, following service standards and guest preferences. This role involves staying current on trends to create and present cocktail menu items to leadership, anticipating guests’ needs, taking orders using suggestive selling, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service. The Bartender will also complete opening and closing duties, maintain bar stock levels, requisition supplies, and ensure all condiments, glassware, and equipment are ready for service. Additionally, they will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, oversee barbacks, record orders accurately in the POS system, process payments, and manage tip collection and reporting. Maintaining required certifications and adhering to safety, security, and operational policies are crucial. Collaboration with co-workers and other departments is essential for efficient and quality service.

Requirements

Maintain a current permit or food safety certification as required by the local government.

Responsibilities

Stay current on trends to create and present cocktail menu items to leadership.
Anticipate guests’ needs, take orders using suggestive selling, respond promptly, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
Complete opening and closing duties, maintain bar stock levels, requisition supplies, and ensure all condiments, glassware, and equipment are ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, promptly clean and reset stations after guest use, and oversee barbacks to ensure smooth operations.
Record orders accurately in POS system, process payments following cash handling and credit policies, and manage tip collection and reporting.
Maintain required certifications (e.g., TIPS, Food Safety), adhere to safety, security, and operational policies consistent with company standards.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers and other departments to ensure efficient and quality service.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
