About The Position

Under the direction of the F&B Manager, the Bartender provides knowledgeable, prompt, friendly and courteous service of food and beverage to our hotel and casino guests.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to carry out tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in several areas.

  • Must be able to do the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to smile at all times while on casino property, and able to promote a positive professional attitude.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Written and verbal understanding of English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Cahuilla Gaming License and submit to random drug/and or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain a California State Driver’s License
  • Ability to complete necessary Casino Essentials courses to carry out the job responsibilities.
  • FHC (Food Handler Certified) (required).
  • RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certified (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (preferred but not required).
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assists all Food and Beverage team members to produce a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.
  • Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to all casino guests in accordance with department standards.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and maintain service level standards.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests.
  • Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Prepare alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages using standard recipes and practicing portion control.
  • Serve wine and draught or bottled beer.
  • Deliver food from kitchen to guests.
  • Frequently checks back with and entertains guests.
  • Observe bar guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of guest areas and bar at all times to include removing empty glasses/bottles, clean up any messes, such as spilled drinks or food.
  • Responsible for receiving payment from customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Abides by all State, Federal and Company liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service and intoxicated guests.
  • Responsible for adhering to established cash control policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to multitask in busy environment
  • Open to new challenges and tasks on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to follow all standards for health and safety protocols.
  • Must keep all service areas stocked with necessary supplies
  • Must be able to work all shifts and Holidays
  • All other duties as assigned.
