About The Position

The Handle Bar Restaurant Bartender provides resort guests and servers with the highest quality, quick and efficient beverage service. This role involves taking orders, offering detailed descriptions of beverages, and preparing and serving a variety of drinks according to established recipes and Four Seasons Standards. The Bartender is responsible for maintaining a high level of guest service, adhering to alcohol laws and Four Seasons standards, and possessing a complete working knowledge of all bar products. Additionally, the role requires confirming guest orders, performing side duties, and accurately processing payments using the hotel's point-of-sales system, including the Micros system.

Requirements

Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provides resort guests and servers with the highest quality, quick and efficient beverage service.
Take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
Maintain and control a high level of guest service achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
Follow the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.
Has a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensures that all the details of service are performed properly.
Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
Perform additional side duties.
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
