About The Position

The Bartender at EVEN Hotel Alpharetta welcomes guests and creates relaxing, memorable experiences by preparing and serving drinks and food, hosting guests, sharing local knowledge, and representing the brand. The role includes maintaining bar supplies and inventory, ensuring equipment works, keeping the bar clean and alcohol secure, processing payments, and supporting colleagues with additional duties. The position requires following safety procedures and applicable local laws for food handling and alcohol service. Bartenders spend much of the day on their feet, with bending and kneeling, and may need to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kg). Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the job.

Requirements

• Be able to remain on your feet for much of the day and perform frequent bending and kneeling.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull objects such as barrels and crates weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
• Have a good grasp of reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
• Be willing to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Know how to prepare a wide range of drinks.
• Meet local requirements for food handling and alcohol service, be above the minimum legal age, and be fluent in the local language.
• Be a warm, welcoming, and articulate communicator.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome and set a positive tone for each guest’s experience.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions to guests.
• Work with restaurant colleagues to provide seamless food service.
• Set up the bar, stock supplies, manage inventory, and ensure equipment works.
• Change beer barrels.
• Keep the bar clean and tidy and ensure alcohol is secure.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Wear the uniform with pride and maintain a professional appearance.
• Help colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
• Follow safety procedures.
