About The Position

This position is located at any facility within the Business Operations Division on Fort Bragg, NC. The duties include setting up bars for operation, obtaining cash bank and stocking the service bar. Assuring an adequate stock level is maintained, setting up the storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Preparing a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Recording sales and making change or preparing charge slips. Keeping the bar and work area clean and sanitary. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
  • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
  • Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
  • Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
  • Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Stands for prolonged periods.
  • Work is primarily indoors.
  • Exposed to cuts and bruises.
  • Ability to work an irregular shift which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split-shifts.
